태초의 지구는 거대한 암석과 함께 태어났다. 긴 시간 동안 부서지고 흩어져 우리 곁으로 온 암석의 조각들. 유약한 인간이 남기는 단단한 물질들이 이 세계를 배회한다.

<인간의 암석>은 암석의 지구적 순환을 기록하는 한 사람의 일기다. 작가는 한때 누군가의 삶의 일부였던, 도시에서 버려진 낡은 도자기를 모아 잘게 부수고 땅에서 채집한 거친 점토와 섞어 다시 한번 빚어낸다. 하나의 도자기는 인간의 짧은 생애만큼 잠시 동안만 땅 위에 서 있다가 땅으로 돌아간다. 하지만 나선형으로 흐르는 순환의 궤도는 처음과 같은 곳으로 돌아가지 않는다. 한 명의 인간이 살다 간 찰나의 순간이 남아 이전과는 다른 모습으로 대지 곳곳을 굴러다닐 것이다. 거대한 땅속에서 뒤엉긴 흙과 돌멩이 사이, 여린 살과 뼈가 소멸한 자리에 남아 선 단단한 덩어리. 그 안에 우리의 삶이 남아 있다.

The primordial Earth was born alongside massive rocks. These pieces of rock have been broken and scattered over a long period of time to reach us. The hard materials left behind by fragile humans wander this world.

"Humanrock" is a single person's diary recording the global circulation of rocks. The artist gathers old, discarded ceramics from the city that were once part of someone's life, crushes them finely, mixes them with coarse clay collected from the earth, and shapes them once again. A single piece of ceramic stands on the earth only for a brief moment, much like a human's short lifespan, before returning to the ground. However, the spiraling orbit of circulation does not return to where it began. The fleeting moment a single human lived will remain, rolling across the earth in forms different from before. A hard lump standing in the place where fragile flesh and bone have vanished, among the tangled earth and stones deep within the massive ground. Within it remains our lives.
